Senior Manager of Property Management
Lakeside is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager of Property Management to lead and grow our in-house property management organization. This role will be responsible for building and scaling a high-performing property management team, overseeing the direct management of 10+ commercial properties, and ensuring the long-term operational success of our growing portfolio. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with strong property management expertise, capable of hiring, training, and mentoring a team while implementing best practices across our portfolio. The Senior Manager of Property Management will collaborate closely with the asset management team to develop and execute strategic business plans and drive value creation across the portfolio.
Essential Functions
Team Leadership & Growth: Hire, train, and oversee the property management team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
Operational Efficiency: Identify cost savings, implement best practices, and drive operational improvements.
Tenant Relations: Ensure superior tenant service, handle requests, and oversee lease compliance.
Financial Management: Oversee rent collection, manage accounts receivable, and prepare financial reports.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop annual budgets, CAM reconciliations, and financial strategies in coordination with accounting and asset management.
Lease Administration: Enforce lease terms, oversee tenant move-ins/move-outs, and prepare lease abstracts.
Property Inspections & Maintenance: Conduct regular site visits (minimum three per month per property), oversee maintenance, capital projects, and vendor performance.
Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure regulatory compliance, track tenant/vendor insurance, and manage contracts.
Requirements
Experience: 3-7 years in commercial property management with multi-asset oversight.
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
Skills: Strong leadership, financial acumen, problem-solving, and tenant relations.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Attributes: Highly organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, and proactive.

Details
Location: Based in Oakland, CA, with properties primarily within walking distance.
Work Environment: Office-based with frequent site visits; occasional after-hours emergency response.
Full-time, exempt position (Monday–Friday); must be available for 24/7 emergency response if needed.
